India are all set to take on England in the 4th Test of the five-match series at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester on July 23 (Wednesday). After going on 1-2 down in the series due to the heartbreaking loss at Lord's, the Manchester Test is now a must-win encounter because a defeat would mean that India would lose the series with a match to go. In this match, Rishabh Pant will be key for India, given his stupendous batting form. However, the finger injury he suffered during Lord's has put question marks as to whether he can be involved in full capacity. Now, Pant has dropped a cryptic hint.
Rishabh Pant dropped a video on his social media account, where he was seen in full flow, playing football, doing fielding drills and batting in the nets. He captioned the video, "If calm had a sound, it should be this"

Rishabh Pant Likely To Don New Role

In the press conference before the 4th Test vs England, Ryan ten Doeschate hinted that Rishabh Pant might not keep in the fourth Test if he is not fully fit. However, he will definitely bat in the match. If he does not keep, then Dhruv Jurel will replace him.
“He will bat in Manchester before the Test. I don't think you're gonna keep Rishabh out of the Test no matter what. He batted with quite a lot of pain in the 3rd Test, and it's only going to get easier on his finger. Keeping is the last part of the process. We need to make sure that he can keep — we don't want to go through that again where we have to replace the keeper halfway through an innings,” Doeschate said.
“But he rested today, was trying to give the finger as long as possible, and hopefully, he's good to go in Manchester in the first session. He is in the equation, but I mean if he's fit, he plays the next Test and does both,” he added.
