Rahul Dravid's elder son, Samit, didn't find any buyer in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 auction and went unsold. Samit, who is an all-rounder, was part of the previous edition of the tournament but he will miss the upcoming season after going unsold. Samit, who has played junior cricket for Karnataka, made it to the India U19 squad for the home series against Australia in 2024. He suffered an injury before the series and missed out on making his debut for India U19.
Samit isn't part of the squad now as he isn't eligible to play the next U19 World Cup, to be held in 2026. He was part of the Mysuru Warriors in the previous edition of the T20 league. Samit only managed to score 82 runs in the season. He didn't bowl last year.
Samit, 19, will aim to perform well for Karnataka in the junior competitions and make it to the state team. He hasn't played senior domestic cricket for Karnataka.
