Earlier this year, when the English Cricket Board (ECB) put up the Hundred Teams up for sale, the RPSG group purchased 70% of the originals with the franchise valued at £116m (Rs. 1338.99 crore).
Sanjiv Goenka shared a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter) to welcome Anderson to the team.
"A legend in the squad. Welcome to #ManchesterOriginals, @jimmy9," wrote Goenka.
Anderson had registered for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) Mega Auction last year but failed to find any bidders in his pursuit of playing the world's richest cricket league for the first time.
