Mitchell Starc etched his name in the history books while making his 100th Test one to remember as Australia thrashed West Indies by 176 runs at the Sabina Park in Jamaica in the third Test of the series to seal a 3-0 whitewash in the Frank Worrell Trophy.
The home team were bowled out for 27 in the second innings, with Starc being the star of the show with a six-wicket haul in just 9.3 overs while conceding just nine runs. Scott Boland took a hat-trick as the hosts were humiliated and posted the second-lowest team total in Test cricket history.
Mitchell Starc Creates History
Starc became the first pace bowler in history to take a five-wicket haul in his 100th Test with the incredible spell in Jamaica. The Australian star also registered the best bowling figures by a player in history while playing their 100th match in Test cricket, breaking a long-standing record of Muttiah Muralitharan.

Starc also extended his incredible record in pink-ball Tests and now has 81 wickets. No other player has more than 43 wickets (Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon). The left-arm pacer is the first player to get five five-wicket hauls in a pink-ball Test.

Starc's bowling figures of 6-9 are the third-best figures in a pink-ball Test and the first instance of taking six or more wickets while conceding just 10 runs.
Starc is the first bowler since Irfan Pathan (vs Pakistan) in 2006 to take three wickets in the first over of an innings.
The Australian great completed his five-wicket haul in just 15 balls, the quickest instance of the same happening in Test cricket history.
