Jasprit Bumrah Creates HISTORY Vs England
Jasprit Bumrah put his name on the iconic honours board of the 'home of cricket' with a stunning spell of 5-74. This included the big wickets of Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, and Jofra Archer.
This was Jasprit Bumrah's 16th five-wicket haul in his career in Test cricket. This was also his 13th away from home, which is the most by any Indian player in history. The 31-year-old broke Kapil Dev's record, which stood for 34 years, as the ex-Indian captain took 12 five-fers in his career outside Indian shores.
Bumrah also equalled Wasim Akram (11) for having the most five-wicket haul among Asian bowlers in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia). The Indian star also matched former Pakistan captain Imran Khan for the five-wicket hauls away from home by an Asian pacer.
