Jannik Sinner put up a dominant performance to signal the changing winds in the Tennis world to defeat Novak Djokovic in straight sets at the 2025 Wimbledon semi-final by a comprehensive scoreline of 6-3,6-3, and 6-4 to enter the final of the tournament for the first time.
Sinner denied Djokovic the chance to enter a 7th consecutive final and win a record-equalling eighth title. The World No.1 has now beaten the Serbian in the semi-final of back-to-back Grand Slams as the 24-time Grand Slam champion's wait for a 25th major continues. The 38-year-old has not won a major title since the 2023 French Open having lost the Wimbledon final twice in a row to Carlos Alcaraz.

Jannik Sinner Creates History

Sinner has now entered the final of each of the last year's Grand Slams, having won the 2024 US Open and 2025 Australian Open, where he beat Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev in the final before losing to Alcaraz in a five-set thriller at Roland Garros last month.
Sinner is the youngest player to reach the final of four consecutive slams and the first player to achieve the feat before turning 24. He broke the world record of Roger Federer, which he set in 2006

The 23-year-old has lost the fourth fewest games in history en route to a Wimbledon final (56) behind Federer (52, 2006), Connors (54, 1975) and McEnroe (54, 1982).
Sinner has also become the first player in history to win nine consecutive sets against Djokovic, breaking Federer's record (7 in 2006 and 2007).
Sinner will play double-defending champions Alcaraz in the final in his maiden summit clash at Wimbledon.
