Richa Ghosh registered a huge world record during the 2nd T20I between the Indian and England women's cricket teams at the County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday (July 1) as the visitors put up a huge total of 181 on the board after the hosts won the toss and chose to bowl first.
India were left in deep trouble as they lost three wickets in the powerplay with just 31 runs on the board. Jemimah Rodrigues (63 of 41) and Amanjot Kaur (63* of 40) brought the Women in Blue on track with a 93-run partnership. Later, Ghosh gave India a quick finish with an unbeaten knock of 32 in just 20 balls.
Richa Ghosh Creates History
Through the course of her knock, which included six boundaries, Gosh created history by completing 1000 runs in the shortest format of the game. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicket-keeper batter is the only player in the history of Women's T20I to have more than 1000 runs with a strike-rate above 140.

Ghosh is also the second-quickest to reach 1000 T20I runs (by balls) and the quickest player to achieve the feat among players from full-member nations. Only the Isle of Man's Lucy Barnett took fewer balls than Richa to reach the milestone, with a difference of just two balls.
