India are currently embroiled in an intense Test Series against England in England. However, after the series gets over, India are scheduled to retrn to action in white-ball cricket, as they are slated to travel to Bangladesh to face the Asian side in three ODIs and five T20Is starting August 17. The ODI series would mark the return to action for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for Team India, after they announced their retirement from Test Cricket. However, the tour to Bangladesh now appears in doubt after a recent statement from a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official.
Due to the present political situation in Bangladesh, India's white-ball tour appears in limbo. BCB president Aminul Islam informed that the BCCI has not yet confirmed about the tour, and they are still in discussions. He hinted that the tour might also be postponed.
“We’re having positive discussions with the BCCI. It’s not like (hosting India) in August or September, we are having discussions on how we can do the series, and if we cannot host it now, we will do it at another possible time," Islam said.

Asia Cup Likely To Be Held In September

The Asia Cup 2025 is likely to go ahead in September. The tournament was in jeopardy after India-Pakistan ties hit a new low following the Pahalgam attack, but according to a report in Cricbuzz, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is hopeful of releasing the schedule in the first week of July. The tentative start of the tournament is on September 10, according to the report.
It must be noted that nothing concrete has been decided so far, and a formal decision could be taken next week. Asia Cup 2025 will be a six-team tournament, played in the T20 format, with India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the UAE competing for the title.
