A heartbreaking video of a batter who hits a six during a cricket tournament and instantly dies has been making the rounds on social media. The batter in the video from Firozpur, Punjab, is shown getting ready to face a delivery before hitting it for a six. But after making his shot, he moves to the centre of the field, collapses, and falls to his knees.

The other players rush to his aid and try CPR after witnessing him lose consciousness. However, he does not regain consciousness and passes away immediately from a heart attack. Harjeet Singh, who was participating in a cricket tournament at the DAV School field in Firozpur, has been confirmed as the casualty.

Earlier, in June 2024, a 42-year-old man similarly lost his life during a cricket match in Mumbai, in a similar occurrence. After hitting a six in the company-sponsored match at a farmhouse in the Kashmira neighbourhood of the city, the victim, Ram Ganesh Tewar, passed out instantly. Tewar was taken to the hospital right away, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been numerous heart attack-related deaths reported in the nation in recent years. A similar destiny has befallen even those in their twenties, leading to a general awareness that everyone should take their health seriously. Everyone should get regular full-body examinations to keep an eye on their health and consult a certified physician.
