According to a report in Cricbuzz, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) could release the schedule of the Asia Cup 2025 in the first week of July. No formal decision has been taken till now, but some promotional activities for the tournament reportedly have already begun. If things fall in place, the Asia Cup 2025 could begin from September 10.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been India's top performers against Pakistan, but the veterans won't take the field if the Asia Cup goes ahead. The reason is simple - they are retired. The Asia Cup 2025 will be played in a T20 format, and the two cricket icons are not active cricketers in this format of the game. Kohli and Rohit retired from T20Is after winning the T20 World Cup 2024.

Asia Cup 2025 In UAE?

India are the host of the Asia Cup, but the tournament will be moved out of the country if it goes ahead. Pakistan won't travel to India, and it won't be feasible to play the event in a hybrid model for just one game.
